Why cut flowers need cool transport, not cold transport
Flowers don’t need a freezer, and they don’t need the same aggressive chill as raw meat — they need a stable, gentle 2°C to 8°C that slows respiration without damaging delicate petals.
Most florist and wholesale flower bookings start before sunrise, with a pickup from a flower market or import hub, followed by delivery to retail florists, event venues or direct consumers the same day. Speed matters here almost as much as temperature — flowers lose freshness with every hour outside a controlled environment, so a delayed run costs quality even if the temperature never wavers.
