Cold Delivery for Supermarkets & Retail

Bulk chilled and frozen restocking between a distribution centre and multiple store locations — sized for pallet volume, not a single delivery van’s worth of stock.

Restocking that scales with your store count, not just your order size

Supermarket and retail cold delivery is a volume problem before it’s a temperature problem — the challenge is moving enough pallets to enough stores on a schedule, without a chilled or frozen product ever sitting warm between the truck and the shelf.

Most retail clients run one of two patterns: a central distribution centre restocking several branches on a fixed weekly schedule, or a single flagship store taking large bulk deliveries directly from suppliers. Either way, the vehicle needs to be sized for pallets, not boxes, and the driver needs to be comfortable working a warehouse dock, not just a street-side drop.

For chains running the same restocking route every week, a monthly contract on a dedicated truck is almost always the better economics than booking day by day.

What retail restocking actually needs

Pallet-scale capacity

Trucks built for 14 to 22 pallets, not a handful of crates.

Warehouse-ready loading

Tail-lift equipped trucks match dock levellers and pallet trucks.

Mixed-temperature runs

Chilled produce and frozen goods routed on the same schedule, right vehicle for each leg.

Predictable weekly schedule

The same truck and driver assigned to a fixed multi-store route, week after week.

Choosing between a van and a truck for retail restocking

A single small store taking a modest weekly top-up can often work with a 3-ton chiller van. Once you’re supplying more than one location, or the order regularly exceeds 12 pallets, a refrigerated truck is the more efficient choice — one run instead of two or three van trips.

For frozen-aisle stock specifically, a freezer truck holds true sub-zero temperature across the full pallet load, which a van-sized freezer unit isn’t built to sustain at that volume.

Same route, every week

A dedicated truck and driver run your schedule on a monthly contract.

What retail clients say

Retail delivery questions

Yes — multi-drop retail routes are common. Share your store list and typical volume per stop and dispatch will plan the sequence.

Tail-lift-equipped trucks are available on request. Mention your loading setup when you request a quote.

Some vehicles support dual-zone loads. For larger frozen volumes specifically, a dedicated freezer truck holds sub-zero temperature more reliably.

Yes, for a recurring weekly schedule a monthly contract typically runs lower than the equivalent number of daily bookings. See monthly rental rates.
